Angie Jerez has been beautifying the streets of Atlanta for quite some time with her murals that bring the natural world to the urban landscape. Her newest work on the AC Hotel is no exception. We worked with Angie to create a mural inspired by the hotel brand’s founding in Madrid, Spain, featuring colorful imagery influenced by Spanish culture, particularly Flamenco dancing.
Angie Jerez is a muralist and visual artist originally from Bogotá, Colombia. Jerez uses her work to explore her identity through whimsical, abstract compositions. Growing up in a chaotic industrial neighborhood has deeply influenced her art, inspiring her to uncover and celebrate the beauty in forgotten spaces. Jerez has painted murals in the U.S., Mexico, Colombia, and the UK, and her work is often characterized by intricate line work and organic shapes, bringing to life vibrant scenes where nature reclaims and transforms urban landscapes.
