Artist Statement: I wanted to tell the story of the Underground's past and how it intermingles with it's present. First built between 1866 and 1871 as a rail junction, and then becoming the first iteration of Underground Atlanta in 1969 the Underground has always been a vibrant hub in the city of Atlanta. From it's early beginning it’s been the center of the hustle and bustle of the city. Through these images I wanted to show the evolution of the Underground's presence in present day Atlanta, and throughout it's many transitions it still stands as a hub for culture and arts through out the city. Each image is a snap shot, or a dream-like moment of a bygone era that still stands presently and is represented at the Underground in Atlanta.
